What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning also known as Epidermal Levelling uses a surgical blade to exfoliate the top layer of skin cells from your face, this will also remove the vellus hair also known as peach fuzz from your face. Resulting in smoother, fresher and brighter skin. And no… your hair will not grow back thicker or darker, it is physically impossible as you can not change the DNA of vellus hair, it will only grow back to what was.

How long do the results last?
Treatment results will vary person to person, generally 4-6 weeks, however results will last longer with regular maintenance.

How long does the treatment take?
An initial consultation will be completed with all new clients, Treatment is generally 45-60 mins, then depending on what other modality is chosen as, dermaplaning is a great add on too many treatments.

Does it hurt?
There is no pain associated with Dermaplaning.

Are there any side effects?
There is little to no downtime for Dermaplaning, however you may be a little pink in areas after treatment this should calm down within the hour. Some people may experience very mild folliculitis post dermaplaning, however this settles within a few days.

What is LED Therapy?

LED or Light Emitted Diode is a non-invasive skin surface treatment that uses varying wavelengths of light, including red, blue and infrared to stimulate cellular activity. This helps with collagen and elastin production, fine lines and wrinkles, inflammation in the skin, and encourages oxygen production in the epidermis to kill bacteria.

Are results instant?
Yes! Clients notice that their skin feels and looks plumper even after just one treatment.

How long does the treatment take?
The treatment will take 30 minutes, this includes a deep cleanse, exfoliation, LED therapy and application of post treatment products.

Who is not suitable?

How many treatments will I need?
This will always vary depending on your skin condition and lifestyle. A series of 4-6 treatments spaced 1-2 week apart is what i recommend. Once you are happy with your results you can simply do maintenance treatments once or twice per month.

How long do the results last?
The treatments are cumulative. After your final treatment, your results will continue to improve for up to 3-4 months.  Maintenance is recommended once a month or every 3-4 months, depending on the person.

Does it hurt?
The applicator will slowly get warmer until your skin reaches the needed temperature and stays within that temperature range. Treatments are comfortable. Some say it feels like a relaxing hot stone massage.

Are there any side effects/ Aftercare?
The treatment area may look a little flushed and warm to the touch, but this will go away within 1 hour. You can return to your daily schedule immediately after your treatment. You can apply makeup immediately after your treatment if needed.

What is VENUS VIVA SKIN RESURFACING?
Venus Viva™ skin resurfacing treatments work with tiny pins that safely deliver heat (via Nano Fractional Radio Frequency) through the skin’s surface. This creates tiny micro-dermal wounds, which the body naturally heals on its own. This process repairs signs of skin damage visible on the surface of the skin. Does it hurt?
You will feel tiny pins on your skin followed by a little zap. Your face will then feel warm, like a sunburn. Venus Viva treatments may be slightly uncomfortable, but not painful. You’ll feel intense heat, similar to the feeling of sunburn, and your face will look red right after the treatment

Are there any side effects/ Aftercare?
You can expect 3-5 days of downtime. Your skin may feel warm, like a sunburn, and can remain red for up to a few days. Makeup can be applied 24 hours post treatment. It is super important to follow instructions for before and after your treatment and nothing is to be used on the skin unless it is in aftercare.

 Side effects include but are not limited to;

• Redness, tenderness of area treated

• Swelling

• Itchiness/ tingling sensation

• Petechiae (small pin prick bruises)

• rough texture of skin surface for 4-5 days post treatment

We recommend using sun protection, beginning 24-48 hours after the skin has fully healed. Direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and artificial sunless tanning lotions are not allowed in the treatment areas during the course of the treatment and healing. Avoiding direct sun exposure should become a permanent component of your long-term skincare program. You should also avoid hot baths, massages, or any treatment that requires direct contact with the skin for the first two to three days after your treatment.

Skin Needling also known as CIT or Collagen Induction Therapy is a treatment that uses a pen with micro needles to create micro wounds in the skin at varying depths depending on your skin concern and the area it is performed in. The minor injury triggers a wound healing response within the skin to cause the skin to create new collagen and elastin resulting in healthier skin.
